The deadline to enter the General Practice Awards 2026 is today.
GPs, practice teams, primary care organisations and suppliers have until 4pm on Tuesday 16 June 2026 to submit their nominations.
Some categories are still light on entries so if you work in any of these areas, consider putting something in now:
Future Leader in Primary Care;
Clinical Improvement: Mental Health;
Sustainability in Practice;
Extended Practice Team Member of the Year;
Receptionist/Reception Team of the Year.
If you or someone you know is doing strong work in any of these areas, now is the time to enter.
Those wishing to enter can find more information and submit their nominations via the General Practice Awards website.
Organised by Healthcare Leader publisher Cogora, the awards are now in their 18th year. They recognise excellence across UK primary care, celebrating outstanding work in clinical care, innovation, leadership and teamwork.
Who can enter
Entries are open to GPs, nurses, practice managers, pharmacists, PCN teams, reception teams and other primary care staff. Entrants can nominate themselves, a colleague or a team, and may enter more than one category.
This could include a colleague who has gone above and beyond for their patients, a team that has made a real difference to patient care, or a project that has had a clear impact on services or outcomes.
Entering is a chance to give excellent work the recognition it deserves and share good practice with the wider primary care community. Although the deadline is close, there is still time to put together a strong entry.
Supplier categories
The awards also recognise suppliers working in general practice. Categories cover AI and digital solutions, pharmacy, professional services, and recruitment and staffing. If your company supports general practice and you have not yet entered, this is the final opportunity to do so.
How to enter
The Entry Submission Guide explains what applicants will be asked in the online form, including character limits and tips on what to include. Entries do not need to be lengthy to be considered, so do not let that hold you back.
Entries close at 4pm on 16 June 2026.
