A 28-page directory of available local health services has been produced by West Suffolk clinical commissioning group (CCG).
The CCG hopes the guide will help people in Haverhill to access the correct local healthcare services.
Information is provided on GP surgeries, out-of-hours GP and dental services, Haverhill Health Centre clinics, dentists, community pharmacies and other services.
The guide has been produced in partnership with One Haverhill, a group which represents local government, education, housing and other sectors, and the town council.
Dr Ed Garratt, chief operating officer of the NHS West Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group: “Local people told us they needed more information on what health services are available in the area. We have listened to this feedback and have created this new helpful guide.
“The guide is designed to be kept for future reference and will act as an invaluable resource for people in Haverhill.”
Town mayor Roger Andre said: “Haverhill Town Council recognises that patient education is an important part of improving healthcare in the town, alongside more and better local health services. We are pleased to have worked with the CCG in developing this important resource, and will soon be producing our own short summary of the information in leaflet form to deliver to every household in Haverhill, and online.”
