Buckinghamshire ICS appoints new managing director

Louise Watson has been appointed managing director of the Buckinghamshire Integrated Care System (ICS).

Ms Watson is currently the director of the new care models vanguard programme at NHS England.

After spending more than two decades working in the NHS, she has acquired extensive board level experience.

Her previous roles include clinical commissioning director within NHS West Sussex and commercial director of Milton Keynes Hospital NHS Foundation Trust among others.

Ms Watson said: ‘Buckinghamshire’s health and social care services are facing exciting yet challenging times.

‘Staff from all organisations in Buckinghamshire have demonstrated their passion and enthusiasm for change, putting us in a great position to drive forward all our ambitions, providing the best health and care outcomes for the residents of Buckinghamshire.’

Ms Watson will continue to advise NHS England, by sharing experiences of driving change and supporting the development of other ICSs across the country.
