NHS Humber and North Yorkshire integrated care board (ICB) has announced that Jason Stamp will become acting chair on an initial six-month basis.

Mr Stamp has been a participant member of the ICB since its inception and is the strategic lead for the development and integration of the voluntary sector into the work of the Humber and North Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership.

He is also in charge of the Partnership’s Workforce Transformation programme, Breakthrough HNY.

Speaking about his appointment, Mr Stamp said he was looking forward to working with the executive team, staff and partners to deliver the shared vision for integrated care.

‘All parts of our system face significant challenges over the next few months. This provides us with a valuable opportunity to continue to work across organisations and places to think and work differently and to continue to improve outcomes for our local communities,’ he said.

He added: ‘I am proud of everything we have achieved so far across the Humber and North Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership.’

This follows news that ICBs will merge in the future and have been tasked to make 50% cuts to the workforce.
