NHS Arden and GEM Commissioning Support Unit (CSU) has achieved the globally recognised ISO 9001:2008 standard for quality management – the only CSU to gain the certification.
The independent assessment was conducted by the leading certification body, ISOQAR, who paid compliment to the CSU’s staff, robust systems and ability to deliver services in a productive and competitive manner.

Marie Moore, director of governance and systems at the CSU said: “We are very proud to have achieved this certification as it underlines our commitment to our customers and our constant focus on quality.
“By going through the ISO assessment process we have been able to demonstrate both the resilience of our current service delivery and a commitment to continuous improvement.”
The CSU provides commissioning support services for 42 clinical commissioning groups (including Nene, Southern Derbyshire and Coventry & Rugby CCGs), NHS England, NHS provider trusts and local authorities, and has 1,200 staff.
As a certified organisation, the CSU will be reassessed annually to ensure progress is maintained.
