The Family Doctor Associaton (FDA) was eager to point out that failure to communicate will lead to GP disengagement.
FDA national chairman Dr Peter Swinyard said: “Pressure has never been greater on frontline general practice; GP leaders in CCGs may find themselves recalled to their practices to the detriment of clinical leadership both locally and nationally.”
Financial sustainability and meaningful stakeholder engagement were also highlighted by the GPs as key problem areas.
The survey suggests that general practice is suffering from ‘change fatigue’, as they questioned the sustainability of the new system in the long run.
