CCG appointments: North Staffordshire

North Staffordshire clinical commissioning group (CCG) has made six new appointments to the board.

Dr Mark Shapely, CCG clinical chairman said now that the CCG has been operational for a year, it is time to “make changes to ensure we develop and improve how we commission”.

He added: “All have previous experience within the CCG and have played important roles in helping us get to the position we are in today, initially when we were in shadow form, and then when we took over full accountability for commissioning services from North Staffs primary care trust last year.

“This announcement will help ensure stability and continuity as we continue the work of addressing local health challenges on behalf of the people of North Staffordshire.”
