The first report on the quality of care of an area has been published by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) today.

The report on North Lincolnshire comes after the CQC gathered the results of inspections in the area, data from local and national organisations like Public Health England and Healthwatch, and interviews with local people, providers, and professionals who run the services.

The chair of the BMA's GP Committee warns against the non-involvement of grassroots GPs.

Many CCGs are being developed without the involvement of grassroots GPs, the chair of the British Medical Association's GP Committee has warned.

In his speech to the LMC conference in Liverpool today (22 May) Dr Laurence Buckman called upon GPs to stand up to those CCGs seeking to impose "unacceptable structures".

Ipswich Hospital has promised to work together with the merged Ipswich and East Suffolk CCG during the board’s first meeting, overcoming previous “difficulties” in communication.
