Twenty-eight areas have been shortlisted for the Pioneer Programme, NHS England has revealed.
The winners, who will be given an increased budget and expert advice to develop pioneering integration projects, will be announced in October.
The selection committee has selected 28 areas, including CCGs, hospital trusts and the local authority in Leeds which have already started to integrate care.

CCGs, trusts and local authorities in Bradford and Airedale are aiming to develop 24/7 availability of care as part of the bid.
And in North West London a shortlisted group plans to build on community budgets by setting up joint commissioning budgets between health and social care, focusing on local priorities.
Earlier this year The Commissioning Review reported that Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly have been shortlisted, as well as West Norfolk, which would use a ‘multi-agency’ approach to improve patient experience.
