"If we find that a service requires improvement, we will expect them to provide us with a full plan setting out how they will address the issue. We will share our findings with local commissioners, and we will return in due course to check that they have made the required improvements,” says the CQC in a statement.
Ratings for adult social care was only introduced by the CQC in October 2014, and since then 2,926 inspections have been carried out. Since then, 19% of all care homes and home care agencies have been rated outstanding, 60% as good, 32% required improvement and 8% were rated inadequate.
In the latest report across central England 25 of the 48 care homes and homecare agencies have been rated as good, 19 have been rated requires improvement and four have been rated inadequate. See the full reports here
Following recent inspections in the north of England, 28 of these 47 services have been rated as good, 15 have been rated requires improvement and four have been rated Inadequate. See the full reports here
Across the south 27 of these 65 care homes and agencies supporting people in their own homes have been rated as good, 28 have been rated requires improvement and 10 have been rated inadequate. See the full reports here
