A dedicated online portal has been launched by one clinical commissioning group (CCG) to improve care.
The secure website, launched by Bury CCG, will allow nurses in the borough’s 33 GP practices to share best practice.
The website will also allow the nurses to read the latest news and developments, as well as encourage them to shape improvements in care.
The CCG has also unveiled an email newsletter as a regular face-to-face monthly forum.

Bury CCG’s practice nurse facilitator, Lesley Royle-Pryor said: “Nursing colleagues play a vital role in the care provided for patients within GP practices, but the role can be quite isolating in that they don’t always have the chance of working closely with their peers. Our new online tool aims to go someway to bridging that gap.
“Wherever they are, they will be able to log in and link up with peers, share good practice, get the latest on learning opportunities and ensure they have a chance to shape service developments for the benefit of local patients.”
